Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and DOUBLE THR33S, LLC. They govern your use of the TravelSpace mobile application and the website at www.travelspaceapp.com (together, the “Service”). Please read them before creating an account. How we handle personal data is described separately in our Privacy Policy.
9 September 2026
1. Acceptance of these Terms
1.1 The agreement. The Service is provided by DOUBLE THR33S, LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”), a limited liability company whose state of formation and notice address are given in section 9. “You” means the person using the Service.
1.2 Agreeing to these Terms. By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the Service.
1.3 Price. The Service is provided free of charge. There is no subscription, and the application contains no in-app purchases and no advertising. If we introduce a paid feature in future, we will say so before you are asked to pay for anything.
1.4 The App Store. The application is distributed through the Apple App Store, and your use of it is also subject to Apple's own terms. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no responsibility for the Service. If there is a conflict between these Terms and Apple's App Store terms as they apply to Apple, Apple's terms govern that conflict.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Minimum age. You must be at least 17 years old to create an account. Registration asks for your date of birth, and an account cannot be created where the date you give indicates that you are under 17. The same rule applies in the application and on this website.
2.2 Why 17. The App Store rates applications in fixed tiers, the relevant ones being 12+ and 17+, with nothing between them. We publish TravelSpace at 17+ and set the same figure as our minimum age so that the rating and these Terms agree. One figure applies in every territory; we do not vary the requirement by country. Seventeen also sits above the highest age of consent a member state may set under Article 8 of the General Data Protection Regulation, so parental authorisation under that Article does not arise.
2.3 Your account. You agree to give accurate registration information and to keep it accurate. You are responsible for activity that takes place through your account, and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. If you believe someone else has gained access to your account, contact us using the details in section 9.
2.4 Accounts we may refuse. We may decline to provide the Service to you, and may close an account, if you do not meet the requirements of this section or if you have previously had an account closed for breach of these Terms.
3. Your content
3.1 What your content is. “Your content” means everything you create or upload through the Service, including your trips and their stops, trip titles, journal entries, captions, the photographs you publish, your profile photograph, your biography, and the places you save or mark as visited.
3.2 You keep ownership. Your content remains yours. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of it, or of any intellectual property right in it, to us.
3.3 The licence you grant us. To operate the Service we need permission to store your content and to show it to the people you have chosen. You therefore grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, resize, re-encode and display your content, limited to what is necessary to provide the Service to you and to those people. We do not use your content to advertise or promote TravelSpace, we do not sell it, and we do not license it to anyone else. This licence ends when you remove the content or delete your account, subject to section 5.3.
3.4 A trip stores a reference, not a copy. When the application identifies a trip in your photograph library, it records a reference to each photograph — the identifier the operating system assigns to that item — together with the capture time and coordinates. It does not upload the image. The reference is meaningful only in the photograph library it came from, so your trips restore onto that same library — after reinstalling the application on the same device, for example — and will show empty frames on a device that does not hold it. The image content of a photograph leaves your device only where you publish it, set it as your profile photograph, or attach it to a support report.
3.5 Publishing a photograph. Publishing is a separate, deliberate act, taken one photograph at a time and directed at one place on the map. A photograph you publish can be seen only by accounts with which you have an accepted friend request, and not by accounts you have blocked or that have blocked you. The server, rather than the requesting application, decides who may see it, and the stored file is not publicly accessible: each read is authorised individually. If you turn on the setting that hides your trips from your friends, your published photographs stop being shown to them.
3.6 Withdrawing a photograph. You may unpublish a photograph at any time. Doing so removes both the stored file and the corresponding record. Editing a published photograph in the application replaces the copy your friends see.
3.7 Shared trips. A trip you create is visible only to you unless you share it. You may share it by inviting another account, which becomes a member of the trip only after accepting the invitation, or by creating a link or code and giving it to someone. Members of a trip can see that trip's stops, dates, journal entries and photographs, and can add their own. An invitation on its own does not give the recipient access to the trip.
3.8 Your responsibility for your content. You are responsible for your content. By publishing or sharing it you confirm that you have the rights necessary to do so, and that doing so does not infringe anyone else's rights or break any law.
3.9 Our content. The Service itself — the application, this website, their design, and the place and city catalogue we supply — belongs to us or our licensors. These Terms give you a personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the Service, and nothing more.
4. Acceptable use
4.1 What is not allowed. You must not use the Service to do, publish or share any of the following:
- content that is unlawful, or that you do not have the right to publish;
- content that sexualises a minor, or any other content depicting the sexual exploitation or abuse of a child;
- pornographic, sexually explicit or gratuitously violent content;
- content that harasses, threatens, defames or incites violence against another person, or that attacks a person or group on the basis of a protected characteristic;
- photographs of another identifiable person published without their agreement, where publishing them would intrude on that person's privacy;
- impersonation of another person, or a false claim of affiliation with us;
- spam, or unsolicited commercial or promotional material;
- attempts to reach data belonging to another account, to circumvent the access controls of the Service, or to interfere with its operation or security; and
- automated collection of content or account information, including scraping, other than through an interface we have published for that purpose.
4.2 Reporting a photograph. Any published photograph shown to you, other than your own, may be reported from the application. A report takes effect for you immediately: that photograph is no longer shown to you, and the person who published it is not notified. A report hides the photograph from the person who made the report and from nobody else, because a single report cannot be allowed to remove another person's photograph. A reported photograph is placed in a queue for review, and the number of people who have reported it is recorded.
4.3 Blocking. You may block another account from your friends list in the application, and you may report a photograph and block the person who published it in one step. Blocking ends the connection between the two accounts and stops each of you from reaching the other's content. Accounts you have blocked are listed in Settings, where you can unblock them.
4.4 Review, and what we may do. A person, not an automated system, reviews reported photographs. Each review is recorded as one of two decisions. Where a report is upheld, the photograph is flagged and is no longer shown to anyone other than its author, who keeps their own copy so that the decision can be questioned. Where a report is not upheld, the photograph stays published, and the decision is recorded so that the same report is not reviewed twice; a later report puts the photograph back in the queue. We may also suspend or close an account under section 5. We do not undertake to monitor content that nobody has reported, and we are not obliged to review a report within any particular period, although we aim to act promptly on reports of the content described in the second and third bullets of section 4.1.
4.5 Reporting a problem to us. A report about content is best made from the application, using the reporting action described in section 4.2, because that is what hides the content from you at once. Copyright complaints, and anything the application's reporting cannot address, should be sent to the contact in section 9.
5. Termination
5.1 Ending the agreement yourself. You may stop using the Service at any time, and you may delete your account from within the application, under Settings in the You tab. Deletion is immediate and cannot be reversed.
5.2 What deletion removes. Deleting your account removes your profile, your trips, the stops and journal entries within them, the photographs you have published together with the stored files, your profile photograph, the places you had saved or marked as visited, your friendships, your blocks, your invitations, the reports you had made, your notification settings and device token, your support reports, and your sign-in credentials. Server-side records are removed first, and the copy held on your device afterwards.
5.3 What deletion does not remove. Two things survive. A trip you created that has other members is not deleted; you are removed from it, along with the journal entries and photographs you contributed, and the trip passes to the member who joined it earliest. This is because the contributions of other people are not ours to erase on your instruction. Separately, the photographs held in your device's photograph library are unaffected, since the application never modifies that library and, as described in section 3.4, holds only references to it.
5.4 Suspension and closure by us. We may suspend your access to the Service, or close your account, where you have breached these Terms — in particular section 4 — or where we are required to do so by law. A suspension prevents you from signing in and from renewing an existing session; it may be for a stated period or until further notice. Where the circumstances allow it, we will tell you what has happened and give you an opportunity to respond; where the breach is serious, we may act first. Closure by us removes your content on the same basis as section 5.2, subject to the exceptions in section 5.3, and we may retain a limited record of the reason where we need it to comply with a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
5.5 Ending the Service. We may change, suspend or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part. If we discontinue it altogether we will give reasonable notice by a means appropriate to the circumstances, which may include a message within the application or an email to the address associated with your account.
5.6 What survives. Sections 3.8, 6 and 7 continue to apply after these Terms end, along with any other provision that by its nature is intended to survive.
6. Disclaimers
6.1 The Service is provided as it is. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or free of errors, or that any defect will be corrected.
6.2 Trip detection is automatic and can be wrong. TravelSpace works out where you have been from the timestamps and coordinates recorded in your photographs. Those recordings are sometimes missing, sometimes imprecise and sometimes wrong, so the trips, dates, routes and place names the application produces are our best interpretation rather than a record of fact. Please check anything that matters before relying on it.
6.3 TravelSpace is not a backup service. The application does not upload or back up your photograph library, and these Terms are not a promise that your content will be preserved. Keep your own copies of anything you would not want to lose.
6.4 Other people's content. Content published by other users is theirs, not ours, and we do not endorse it. We are not responsible for it, and we do not verify it before it is published.
6.5 Third-party services. Parts of the Service depend on third parties: maps, place names and place photographs are supplied by Google, and hosting, storage, authentication and email delivery are supplied by Supabase. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability or accuracy. The Privacy Policy identifies the third parties involved and what each of them receives.
7. Limitation of liability
7.1 Losses we are not liable for. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost goodwill, or the loss or corruption of data or content, arising out of or in connection with the Service, even if we have been told that such losses are possible.
7.2 Cap on liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the Service and these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the liability, and one hundred United States dollars. The Service is free of charge, so in most cases the first of those figures will be nil.
7.3 What these limits do not cover. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
7.4 Local law. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain liabilities. Where that is so, sections 6 and 7 apply to you only to the extent permitted in your jurisdiction, and you keep any rights you have under the consumer law that applies to you.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the head of this document records the date of the current version. Where a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will give notice before it takes effect by a means appropriate to the circumstances, which may include a message within the application or an email to the address associated with your account. If you continue to use the Service after a change takes effect, you are bound by the amended Terms. If you do not accept a change, you may delete your account as described in section 5.1.
9. Contact
Questions about these Terms, and notices given under them, should be addressed to info@doublethr33s.com. Reports about content are better made from within the application, as described in section 4.2.
Placeholder. The state in which DOUBLE THR33S, LLC is formed, and its registered notice address, have not yet been established. Replace this paragraph with those particulars. A clause stating the governing law and the venue for disputes is also missing, and cannot be written until the state of formation is known.
